What anti-spam laws should I be following?

As defined in our Terms of Service, you must abide by US CAN-SPAM and Canada's Bill C-28 (CASL). This is to ensure that major anti-spam laws are followed and you (and us) do not suffer the consequences of non-compliance.

In addition to that, you must also abide by the laws of the country you currently reside in. The following list shows which states have existing anti-spam legislation:

In addition to these, the European Union has written the Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications that many member countries use either as a basis for their own laws or in lieu of a formal law.
